I would like to wish all of you Happy Chinese New Year!!! 恭喜发财!

And if you don’t already knew, it’s the Chinese culture that married couple would give Ang Pao (Red packet) to the juniors for blessing. Well I am not going to follow the rule exactly like how it should be, I have prepared 10 Ang Paos for you, my blog readers, to bring back home. You do not have to be younger nor single to win the Ang Pao, simply leave a comment for this blog entry and you COULD be THE winner, though I would appreciate it if you would leave a positive and encouraging wishes to everyone that read this blog. :)

I will announce the winners when I’m back from my Chinese New Year’s visiting! Good luck! :)

P/S Thanks Ryan for the idea of running a contest in blog. :)

Happy Chinese New Year!!!

 IMG_0169IMG_0177IMG_0178IMG_0179 IMG_0181

It’s the culture here to have a yearly company meeting before Chinese New Year, in this meeting we will know how well/bad we did for last year and what are we going to do for this year, and that’s also when company would announce if they are giving out bonuses, so do we have it this year? You bet. :P

We proceed to our company dinner at Bangsar’s La Bodega, good food, good ambiance, but too bad - I didn’t bring my camera – hence the iPhone pictures.

Weekend’s Random

So we revisited the newly discovered place that we went last weekend.

Note: All pictures captured using Kev’s Canon G10 camera. I think I am lovin’ it!

XD

This is Liu-Sha-Pao, SUPER DELICIOUS!!!

And then we went down town for more food……

ABC (Air Batu Campur),ABC,and Chendul (I am not sure of it’s actual spelling!)

I think we saw somebody…

Zoom in… zoom in… ah.. that’s Johnathen L – those who’d purchased my tutorial should be familiar with his name, he proof read most of my tutorials. :)

And here some nice pictures I’ve brought for you, the Kuala Lumpur City. (Thanks to Kev’s Canon G10, I think I am loving this camera more than my own DSLR camera! It is so handy!!!)

Hope you had fun viewing!

I did it again!

Awww please look at this…

Ryan is preparing for Valentine’s already!!!

I just bought another thing from Ryan (I knowwwwww!!! I SHOULDN’T HAVE!!! BUT I just did it again!!! I bought THIS last night before I called it a day:

Quote from her: “You can find them under my Supply Section. Those of you blog readers who love gorgeous papers if you decide you'd like some of my prettiest scraps, type "blog" under message to seller when you check out and I'll send a few extra sheets (just because I can). [OK, I am such a cheapskate - I went ahead and write to her, repeated the word “blog” several times in the convo… *blush*]

HOW TO RESIST?! $14 only for:

- 12 (yes 12) 5x5 sheets of paper from her own private stash as well as one good handful of tinier pieces, the ends from her cuttings and such.

- Her very well known ORIGINAL SCRABBLE TILES PENDANT TUTORIAL (without the free collage sheet)

- and you get to talk to her (hehehe)

I’ve got the tutorial almost right away, very, very nicely written, with very detailed instructional photos, FAQ pages, troubleshooting tips and online source for all the materials (this definitely is SOMETHING to me because, Malaysia don’t have those materials!)

Now I’ll sit back and wait for my papers to arrive – and that would be Ryan’s selections FOR ME! *WeeeeeEEEeee!!!*

Love is in the air

I totally didn’t expect THIS. It’s quite an embarrassment to see the picture on Bobbi’s blog!!! It was supposed to be “private” wei!!! Anyway reading such a blog first thing in my Saturday morning just so made my day! Thank you Bobbi!!!

I took this photo whilst I was in office, dealing with a difficult situation and my heart beating real fast when Bobbi told me that Spike is going to fight for some nasty weather on his way to Florida. So when she finally sent me a mail saying that Spike is finally HOME, i took that picture and sent to them.

Corra photo

*Blush* (Bobbi I didn’t expect you to publish this! LOL!!)

She didn’t reply – must be busy helping Spike to settles in!

Then later of the same day, I’ve got another mail from Deb.G, she was telling me that she tried out the CUBIC Earrings and she is proud of her (I am too, proud of you!!!). It really put a smile on my face, so I sent her the same photo I’ve sent to Bobbi. Here’s her return of favor (please be gentle, we had good laugh at it alright?)

IMG00011LOL…. (Deb, I posted it anyway!!!)

Love you all!!!

My Rings 'n Things

IMG_9491 IMG_9474 IMG_9477 IMG_9482

Inspired by Perri’s Ring ‘n Things, first published in July 2007.

This is fun! The weave introduced in FriendshipBand Bracelet tutorial turned out well in this ring!!

Wire Tutorial - Celtic Braid Pendant by Perri a.k.a Shaktipaj Designs

Perri's new tutorial - Celtic Braid Pendant ($12).
I've learned a lot from this tutorial, I am sure you will be benefited too.

ATTENTION!!!
Two FREE mini-tutorials will also be sent with the project: 'Weaving in Closed Spaces'(720KB) and 'Coiling with a Drill'(602KB). (Pay a visit at her blog to obtain these two FREE tutorials!)

Description
Create the intricate sterling silver woven bezel pendant pictured for your very own! The instructions are for the specific pendant, but this extremely versatile wire weave can be used in ring shanks and borders of all types!

This project is written for advanced wireworkers, but can probably be attempted by someone with high level intermediate skills who wants a definite challenge. Two FREE mini-tutorials will also be sent with the project: 'Weaving in Closed Spaces'(720KB) and 'Coiling with a Drill'(602KB).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION DISCLAIMER
This tutorial uses the WigJig Centaur jig, and the WigJig Delphi has the same grid measurements. These grids have 5 holes and 5 spaces per inch in both horizontal and vertical directions. The project in this tutorial uses the diagonal hole placement which has 7 holes and spaces per inch.

These measurements are crucial to the success of your project!

If you own a different jig, then measure the hole placement to determine if it will work. The most common measurement is 4 holes and spaces per inch on the horizontal and vertical, 5-6 holes and spaces per inch on the diagonal. Here, diagonal hole placement will work for a lacier version, but the closer version is not possible. The only other readily available jig that has close hole spacing is the Wire Writer. The pegs are larger, and so the finished product is still a bit larger.

Please understand that if you make this project with a different jig, it will still be a beautiful weave. But you will NOT achieve the exact same results!!!!!

The tutorial PDF (1.9 MB) will be sent by Perri herself within 24 hours to the address listed in your PayPal profile after receiving confirmation of your Paypal payment, so please be sure your profile is up to date.
