I was looking through my photos albums to find a picture of me in Qi Pao – so I found these:

I would like to wish all of you Happy Chinese New Year!!! 恭喜发财!

And if you don’t already knew, it’s the Chinese culture that married couple would give Ang Pao (Red packet) to the juniors for blessing. Well I am not going to follow the rule exactly like how it should be, I have prepared 10 Ang Paos for you, my blog readers, to bring back home. You do not have to be younger nor single to win the Ang Pao, simply leave a comment for this blog entry and you COULD be THE winner, though I would appreciate it if you would leave a positive and encouraging wishes to everyone that read this blog. :)

I will announce the winners when I’m back from my Chinese New Year’s visiting! Good luck! :)

P/S Thanks Ryan for the idea of running a contest in blog. :)

  7. Wuah! One more possible ang pau collection! LOL... You'll soon realize that being a young single adult, the numbers for ang pau collection reduces significantly over the years even though you now have more married friends! LOL..... but then of course, not that it matters anyway. Just as the numbers reduces significantly, so has its importance. I guess that's what growing up is all about, huh? .... but then, that doesn't mean I mind any of it though. ;) You have a blessed one there, Corra! Gong Xi! Gong Xi!

p/s: you look fab in that red qi pao!

  25. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!! Oh, the infamous red packets. That's what every child looked forward to...at least I did. :) It's sad to see them go away cause that means you're getting older. Yes, marriage cuts them off. Well, you are very generous to offer them to your readers. Hope to win one. :)
