Advertising in my blog

As said in the title, I have enabled 3 advertisement box on my blog. :D

Thought I’d include an overview of traffics I have on my blog for last 7 days from (19th to 26th April 2009):

And from 12th to 19th April 2009:

Since I talk about jewelry making, where do I get inspiration and knowledge from in making jewelry, where do I get my supplies and tools, musics, movies, America Idols (LOL), coffee, and vacation in my blog, most of the ads will fit, I supposed.

So have fun!

Updated on 28th April 2009 to include Build 6.0 and 7.0.

There’s still one more pendant that’s missing from here, but I am tired and I am too lazy to photograph it now. I will do it later, hopefully tomorrow morning and then I will post it.

I have been terribly busy at work and there’s no way I could be possibly create anything at all in time for Mother’s day – no way, period. And I have commissioned pieces to work on, all due for Mother’s day, I should be practicing this long ago, but really I can’t find time. So I went crazy yesterday – whole day, and half of today. After having my weekend coffee, I craved for dimsum. So again we visited our nearby dimsum place (http://decorshandmades.blogspot.com/2009/01/weekends-random.html), then we were home since.

I kept creating and repeating the same steps for the ROSE focal, and experiment the wrapping around the focal – I couldn’t be more thankful to have the drill’s help this time around, it  speed up my work for at least 100times, at least – promise, and I hit just ONE problem: I cannot remove the coils from the working mandrel properly, perhaps I held the wires too tight when the drill moves… I kept practicing (as you can see, for 6 times now) but same problem persisted. I sent a mail to master Perri the first time I hit the problem but the problem solved just a second after I hit on the Send button (unwrapped the first few coils and that’s it), so I sent another mail to tell her that problem resolved. But I guess I was wrong, I was just being lucky, the problem didn’t go away but improved after a few more attempts, simply don’t hold the wires too tight which, to me, it’s very hard to gauge how firm my fingers should be staying with those wires.

Overall, I had fun, and the latest one, the 6th pendant, which is missing from this post, has most consistent appearance. I am going to put that on me for a couple of days, if everything goes well then I will make it into silver, then get ready to be sent to my dear Mother. Wish me luck that I will be able to steal sometimes next couple of days!

P/S: I haven’t file tax yet.

P/S # 2: I will let DH settle his Mother’s mothers day gift this year.

Adios,

CZ Rose, Pendant, Build 2.0

IMG_3251 IMG_3235 IMG_3242

No I didn’t stop creating after posting CZ Rose Pendant 3 hours ago. I was still trying to find what is the best composition, what could be possibly improved. And here, I am pretty much done with this design and going to break my silver for this, now. Work had been crazy and there’s no way I could create during weekday’s evening, and Mother’s day is around the corner. I am sure I will be busy with this design for now til May 2009.

P/S Drill tool is SO COOL! Thanks to Perri’s tutorial on Drill and Coiling, IT CHANGED MY WHOLE LOT OF JEWELRY CREATING EXPERIENCE! Go grab it now will ya?!

Catch you again later!

Have you heard of Pompoms Earrings?

 image

I am sure I have, but I forgot, until a few days ago when I was searching for a perfect way to wrap a briolette for The story of “O”, then I found Rae again. I’ve marked her Etsy store as my favorite store since God knows when, but never had revisited her store all these while! The Pompoms Earrings was one of her signature design, to see how it meant to Rae, she has more write up here.

And you wonder how I was inspired and wrapped my Twisted Amethyst? I am not afraid to reveal this to you – I am suck.at.it. Yes, me. I can never figure out what’s the best way to wrap a brio and only recently realized that – fine wires like 30ga can never be a great wrapping wires for brios period, but I want to give my best for my dear friend, so after much of research I stumbled upon this, this, this, and THESE:

Labradorite Galore, she has more write up for this darling here.

Sometimes she runs a promotions too! So check back!
Honestly if you ask me, I see peace in these pieces. I am a faithful believer that always believe in it takes HUGE effort to compose something “looked” simple, and Rae definitely reminds me of “Quiet is the new loud”.

TAB Necklace, Birthstone Series… [More write up here and here.]
So did I got you curious enough to find out more about her? Or, WANT to know her? Here it is, the last picture for this blog entry:
I found her picture (p-r-e-t-t-y)! Tada, that’s her standing in front of the buildings where she work (Korean Studies Hall, Korea University)[I didn’t said anything, you go find out yourself.]

Last but not least, I would like to thanks Rae for such great inspiration, and I would like to take this opportunity to ask for a help, from you, my blog reader. Let’s help protect each other for our creativities and designs and if any of these pictures inspires you somehow, somewhere or somewhat, kindly give a credit to where it dues. I hope you enjoyed meeting Rae as much as I do, and don’t forget to pay her a visit at her Etsy store and her Website.

Disclaimer: All pictures here are originally hosted in Rae’s blog, please do not use it without Rae’s authority.

Happy weekend all, and I am off for commissioned pieces now.
I will speak to you soon.
