Handmade Wire Jewelry - Belated Mother's Day Gift, Flower Earrings

I shouldn't have had that cup of Mocha, it was already 4pm, what was I thinking?
So there, got hit by insomnia yet again. I tried sleeping, didn't work out, it was already 5am, I thought I may as well do something.

Good thing that I've bought Bobbi's new tutorial: Charming Hearts 2 by MyWiredImagination

Bobbi is superb, as always. I've planned to create a pair of earrings for my mother in law as Mother's Day gift, and I wanted to create something.. petite, and the best, bestest thing about Bobbi's - is that she always add some bonus chapters in her tutorial. Charming Heart 2 by MyWiredImagination delivers a complete guide in creating 7 petals flower, and as bonus, Bobbi also included tips and tricks in making 5 petals flower too. Which is perfect for me.

So, I've utilized my sleepless night making these, with just a wee but of variations. And my mother in law wore this to the dinner just now, earrings suits her just the way I would have expected it, and she totally loves it. I think she is proud of me. :)

This tutorial will show you step by step, how to create these wonderfully charming heart earrings –with or without flowers – each from one piece of wire. The instructions to create and attach a tiny little flower to each earring are included.

Introduction:
This tutorial was written with the beginner in mind, though having some wire experience is helpful. This is a companion tutorial to my “Charming Hearts” tutorial. Knowledge of that tutorial is helpful, but not necessary.

Materials suggested for one pair of Earrings :
18 inches (45.7cm), 18ga round wire, dead soft (optional: 20ga round wire, half hard)
14 tear-drop style or briolette beads 6x4mm or smaller.
36 inches (91.4cm), 28ga round dead soft wire.

Tools needed:
Flush cutters; Sharpie (permanent marker); ruler, and cleaning cloth.
Flat nose; chain nose; round nose pliers; nylon jaw pliers; and wire rounder or file.
Large stepped round nose pliers, bail making pliers, or ½ inch round dowel for shaping.
Optional: Chasing hammer and bench block.

This is a PDF file - To view this tutorial you will need a copy of Adobe's Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded FREE, however most computers with basic programming are already capable of reading a pdf file.

That's my sister's new born and her!

I have been the in house photographer - I discovered my new talent after my nieces and nephews are born one after another, it definitely is the blooming seasons, I have got two siblings are going to celebrate the Mother's Day and Father's Day for the very first time. What a joy! :)

So, let's get back to the objective of this blog post.

Almost all jewelry artists I know would offer a Mother's Day promotion for their products and that got me into thinking - what will it be like if I put all these artists together?

1. Buyers get to choose various designs from various artists.
2. Buyers get to choose various designs from various artists at discounted price.
3. Buyers get to choose various designs from various artists at discounted price, and get to enjoy further discount if they buy more BECAUSE WE WANT YOU TO SAVE MORE, you use the money saved to buy materials and to execute/ practice or make more wire jewelry, as gift or for yourself!
4. Combined fan-base. Each artist has his/her own customer-base a.k.a. fanbase, putting all fans together means increasing the chance for artists in "recruiting" new customers. :P

So here what I've done to my guest artist friends for you:

1. Proposed the promotion plan - invite them to join the promotion by maxing their earning by charging them only $0.20 per item sold instead of $0.50.
