This is going to be the last installment of Rami Kadi's Bridal Gowns Collection for Fall 2014, and I would like to present you his very unique choice of shades of colors. We often sees sweet baby blues or apple green gowns in wedding but Rami Kadi had made a choice of darker shades of blue and green, the navy and the emerald, which has brought the whole collection to yet another level.

Navy collections:
Navy, Halted neck, chiffon back.

Here it is, Rami Kadi's soft-toned series, combining ivory, pink and gold silk, lace and fabric elements, he presents yet another set of exciting bridal gowns.

Rami Kadi Red, Wedding Gowns Collection for Fall 2014 Part Two

Crazy Red.
My youth was filled with black and grey and I only started to know how to appreciate red in my late 20's, I always thought it's an age thing - wear black and grey to tell the adults that we have grown up, and wear reds to prolong our youth. :)

Again, this set of bridal outfits is presented by designer Rami Kadi, look at those details!

U-neck, lace top and fish tail back...

I personally love the little red dress very much, and the choice of that pair of nude/gold heels to go with this little red dress is flawless, 4" heels hey. :)

Deep V at the back whilst covering the collar bones at the front. Gorgeous!

The pretty ordinary piece for people who'd love simplicity - big red bow beneath the tube...

And last but not least, the use of those lace... I could imagine how light is this gonna be.

Hope you have fun viewing. :)

Rami Kadi Wedding Gowns Collection for Fall 2014 Part One

I am very traditional person when comes to supposedly traditional events such as weddings, and I've always thought that bridal wedding gowns should be white at most ivory in color, until I see Rami Kadi's fall 2014 collection of wedding gowns.

Born in the US and raised in Lebanon, Lebanese designer Rami Kadi’s passion for designing was obvious very early on. What attracts me very much was his intricate couture designs, his attention to luxurious handmade details and his impeccable craftsmanship. His rise to an elite circle of couture designers was astonishingly quick for someone his age and in May of 2011.

I will be blogging more of his pieces for coming few days, which includes his red, ivory, navy and emerald series of wedding gowns, those could be great inspirations for you when you propose and design bridal accessories to your prospects, so do check back!

Ivory Lace Gold Keepsake Alternative Bouquet

Etsy is amazing, I got carried away by this Wedding Bouquet I have found there - Large Ivory Lace Gold Keepsake Alternative Bouquet by Curious Floral.

As I am hand picking items for my customer for her handmade wedding, I have been hunting for supplier in Etsy because Etsy, after all, is the biggest online craft marketplace at the moment, though the direction has changed recently to allow mass-production. :)

This bouquet is totally going to be on my inventory list! 😍

Repurpose: Bridal Veil in Malaysia

A friend called up for an urgent help. Needed a bridal veil for her pre-wedding photography session and she couldn't find a suitable wedding veil in time.

She sent me a picture of her wearing her wedding gown, and a picture of a wedding veil that she would like to have. I told her instead of trying to find one, it might be easier for her to DIY one.

So off I went and hunt for something with WHITE fabric flowers, and boy was it hard to find something totally WHITE? You bet. It's easy to find stuff with creamy colors, it's extremely challenging to source something totally white, indeed.

So finally I've found a hair clip with 2 huge white fabric flowers. Then I remember the supplier I have sourced my hair-clips and ribbons from have gave me some loose items as gift and there were two tiny flowers in white with "blings' at the center. I thought it would be perfect to put them all together.

Two fabric flowers were glued onto the hair clip:

The flower was composed by collecting and gathering fabric with glue, of which I don't quite prefer. I tore them off from the hair clip, and spread opened the fabric, sew with with thread, then gather them again. It's tricky to gather such thin and low density fabric, I am glad it turned out right after a couple of attempts.

The friend bought a veil, and we ditched the original focal piece of that veil, took only the veil itself. Because we have 2 flowers right now, she wanted one in white pearls and another with blue pearls. I thought it'd be great if she could choose which flower to wear during photoshooting, so instead of sewing the fabric flower onto the veil, I made it into hair clip, so she could swap.

Here's the fabric flower featuring white swarovski crystal pearls and the default blings:

Took a photo of them both before they are off to serve their new owner:

Wearing it as hair clip instead of a veil on my little one, too cute, isn't she? :)

Hope things turned out right on her photoshootings, will post again once I have her pre-wedding photos featuring these fabric flowers. :)
