Yin Yang Pendant Wire Jewelry Micro Macrame Video Tutorial

Creating wire jewelry is both an art and a discipline. Behind every clean curve, balanced knot, and polished finish lies hours of practice, trial, and refinement.

After years of teaching, experimenting, and refining my own process, I’m excited to finally release my Wire Jewelry Video Tutorial — a carefully planned, painstakingly filmed and edited learning resource designed to make wire jewelry techniques clear, approachable, and achievable.

This tutorial was created for makers who want more than fast reels or fragmented tips. It is for those who want to understand the “why” behind each step, not just copy movements.

What Makes This Wire Jewelry Tutorial Different?

🎥 Carefully Filmed, Step by Step

Every segment is filmed up close, with deliberate pacing. There are no rushed transitions or skipped steps. You see exactly how the wire moves, how tension is controlled, and how structure is built.

✋ Easy-to-Follow Instructions

The tutorial is structured logically — from preparation to execution — making it suitable for:

  • Beginners building confidence

  • Intermediate makers refining technique

  • Artists transitioning into wire micro macramé or structured wire designs

You don’t need to “figure things out” halfway through. The process is clear, intentional, and repeatable.

🧠 Technique-Focused, Not Trend-Focused

Instead of chasing trends, this tutorial focuses on core wire jewelry principles that can be applied across multiple designs — pendants, earrings, and future collections.

What You’ll Learn

In this wire jewelry tutorial, you’ll learn:

  • Proper wire handling and tension control

  • How to maintain symmetry and structure

  • Common mistakes and how to avoid them

  • How to achieve a clean, professional finish

These are skills that stay with you — not just for one piece, but for your entire wire jewelry journey.

Who This Tutorial Is For

✔ Makers who want to improve craftsmanship
✔ Jewelry artists interested in wire micro macramé techniques
✔ Creators who prefer structured learning over short-form videos
✔ Anyone serious about handmade wire jewelry

No fluff. No rushed explanations. Just solid teaching.

Wire Flat Knot Hoops Earrings

Wire Flat Knot Hoops Earrings

Wire Flat Knot Hoops Earrings uses Flat Knot (平結) in Chinese knotting crafts, and this does not exist in Japanese Mizuhiki (Japanese decorative cord tying), however, it is most similar to the “Awaji Musubi” in mizuhiki.

See my Wire Mizuhiki Collection

When I began blending wire jewelry making with traditional knotting arts, I anticipated encountering countless coincidences. This is simply because Chinese knotting art, mizuhiki paper cord tying art, macramé, and wire weaving and wrapping art, they all have long and rich histories.

In the book Art and Fear (艺术与恐惧), it’s said that when an art form reaches a highly stable phase, it becomes difficult for new, true masters to emerge in those fields, These words reflect my deepest conviction as an artist.

So when I combined these well-established knotting traditions with another mature technique — metal wire weaving and wrapping — I knew I was actually opening up a new Genesis phase. Because no one had done it before, it meant there are new things to explore again from now in those fields. Once I developed my own method of integration, I could walk through the entire creative process again, starting from this Genesis point.

Once I developed and refined this new way of combining them, I can walk through the creative process anew from this genesis point, and when more people start to appreciate this method of integration, some may feel inspired to also combine knotting and wire weaving and wrapping, or take it further.
