♥ R E S E R V E D ♥

Custom order. Earrings designed as buyer’s request – Something sweet for a young adorable girl. :)

Inspired by Rae’s beautiful Pom-Pom Earrings, I made a pair of this - Cluster of Sweet Spring Pears earrings. Featuring blue obsidians and bright yellow zircons, beads turn green when they overlap. I added Cubic Zirconia nugget bead and baby blue Swarovski Crystal pearls for a more balanced finishing.

Weight: 9.8gram in total

They are 1” long from the tip of the earwires, and they are 0.5” at their widest measures.

I really love them – they are too sweet, and… so spring! :P

Hope you love them too!

Snowflakes Earrings by Emily, Wired Chinese Knot

240420103082404201030724042010309
It was an ‘eventful’ week and weekend to me last week – first fell ill with burning throat and high fever, and then was informed by John, a dear friend who’d always proof read my tutorials before I’ve published them, with a news that one of my colleague, Eddy T, is diagnosed with H1N1. What he didn’t know was I actually bumped into Eddy on Sunday.
PANIC.
But since I was able to recover really quickly, doctor did not advise me to take a H1N1 test.
“If you’ve got it then the medication you have had would not work.”
That’s it. That’s all he said, and he granted me 2 days MC and that was it.
Phew. As I am recovering I hope Eddy recover soon, too.
Then, attended a seminar to help me to become a better person. :) Though I do check E-mails during breaks, I’ve got this mail from Emily, here’s what she said that made my day:

Hi Corra
How's everything at your end? I hope this mail will find you in the best of health and also I've been "following" you, so I know you've been real busy. You have a very nice smile in the picture that you posed in the LBD. (Emily, what is this??? LOL!!!)
Just a short email to let you know that I've tried out your Snowflakes Earrings. I tried many, many times and succeeded in completing not one but two pairs of it. I broke many pieces of wires along the way while trying to attach the beads and had to dump them. I got addictive after the first pair and proceeded to make the second one right after that. Wanted to make the third pair but I managed to stop my itchy fingers from going further. I can't find beads with big holes in my stash so I had to use bigger beads with bigger holes for the wires to go through twice.
Will make an attempt at your Jia Sha Pendant Tutorial sometime in the near future but first I have to get myself a drill.
By the way, am attaching here some pics of the Snowflakes Earrings to share with you.
Till then, have a wonderful and productive week ahead. Take care.
Emily Tan”
Tell ya what motivates me – this is exactly what could motivates me to continue to invent and teach! I am happy for Emily and I hope she sells tones of Snowflake earrings! And I don’t want anything from what my student gain from making and selling these designs for as long as they will create and sell them, just remember to give a tiny credit to me! Hehe!

Thanks Emily! :)
P/S More pictures on her site! So do pop-over and say Hi!
Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

{Prototype} PIPA Pendant

I hope you won’t find it too strange of me making prototype piece of my own PIPA design for my client. She choose her stones and she has preference about how those beads should be arranged, I want her to confirm her wish before I execute the project. :)
And so I’ve placed beads as per her request, this is how it looked like:
IMG_1287 IMG_1289 IMG_1294
Hehe, so it’s a wee bit too overwhelming, and I am glad that I’ve made this prototype before I broke my silver – cause she felt the same too. I then proposed, that perhaps we could try:
IMG_1277 IMG_1278 IMG_1281
The different about this two layout is – the latter have more defined tear-drop shape. :) So to those who know how to construct PIPA pieces, a little note to you: Attaching beads at the out-most layer might make the tear-drop shape a little rounder than it should be, and there’s nothing wrong about it, it is solely depend on one’s preference, and this should be an option you could offer to your buyer. :)

To learn to make classic PIPA, here’s the tutorial: DCH002 PIPA Earrings. The instruction is also available in my Etsy store and ArtFire store. :)
Hope you are inspired!

Again this is a custom order – and again, above pictures are showing the prototype piece of it, so stay calm if you’ve spotted some flaws here and there – I’ve a listed them down and determined that they will never show up in the final execution. I will be making it into silver once the design is confirmed.

6cm tall, 2.5cm at it's widest measure.

OH oh! Those yellow Zircones are one of the rare pretty “breed”, totally yummy! :D

Happy Sunday all!

{Prototype} Victorian Earrings – Smoky Quartz And Cubic Zirconias

IMG_0594

IMG_0588 IMG_0608 IMG_0610 IMG_0617

This is a custom order – and above pictures shown the prototype piece. I will be making it into silver once the design is confirmed.

Just a little something to share – I religiously practice the prototyping phase for each customized order although it is extremely time consuming and a lot of resources are bound to be “invested” a.k.a. “wasted”, I’d rather go through it nonetheless rather than breaking my silvers creating something I won’t be proud of at the end of the day. I’ve scrapped 3 finished designs to finally come to this one – the ONE that I could proudly present. :)

Perri Jackson from Shaktipaj Design for sharing the wires coiling technique.

Hope you enjoyed viewing – and Happy Sunday all!
