The Details

Most of my designs/creations were really tiny – and yet I stress a lot on my creation’s “details”. I am not sure if you are able to tell the difference between these photos and what have been photographed before – I know I am very, very happy now with these pictures because, I, finally, am able to present you what valued most for my designs and creations - the “details”.

Shu-Array Breathable | Ring

Design Background:
My very dear have very sensitive skins and the wedding ring caused rashes around his finger everytime he wears it, so he gave up wearing it after 1 month after our wedding ceremony. I am always curious if there will be some sort of "breathable" and extremely lightweight rings out there so people that have sensitive skins could at least wear their wedding ring.

Then I figured I may as well design one and create it. :)

So here it is, and this is my first attempt composing a ring using this knotting design, please be gentle.

It can be considered as a variation from Passiflora Studs Earrings, in case you are interested, do check out the PASSIFLORA Studs/ Post Earrings Tutorial.

P/S: I didn't know it's a trend now to create knotted jewelry, but I was notified of this page this morning: "Jewelry Trend: Knotted Wire in Jewelry Design (Jewelry PR Division)" by Willis Chan, featuring PIPA Pendant with Purple Cat-Eyes. :)

Check it out if you are keen. (Thanks Willis!)

Passiflora Studs with Korus!!

Techniques:
1) Passiflora Studs
2) Koru motifs by Erin (EarringsbyErin)

So here it is, the variations of both Passiflora Studs as well as Erin's Koru motifs swirls! It's awesome, isn't it? Observe the Passiflora studs - I made them to have LHS and RHS of studs this time, though it's totally up to you if you want to make them totally identical or, to have LHS and RHS! Just change the direction when you create the studs that's all.

As for the Koru swirls, I am sure this won't be the only variation, I look forward seeing your version of it! :D

Have a good weekend all...

Our fingers

LOL!

I feel a little sorry for myself whilst editing pictures for my new tutorial. My poor fingers!!! Life should have been easier, isn't it? I hope no ones complain! :P

Dear reader, if you make jewelry too, I'd bet you have fingers like mine too - no matter how you'd butter your hand with creams every 30 minutes. People get to see the end result too easily, but seldom would they get to see what's behind the scene and what they are really paying for.

I pray for wisdom and intelligence to not to miss and appreciate every single artist out there, for your hard work and passion, and most importantly, your creativeness.

DCH006 Passiflora Studs

I am currently working on the new tutorial, Passiflora Studs.

Again this is another Wired Chinese Knot made-into-success, it took me awhile to finally decide to write a tutorial for this technique - special thanks to you (you know who you are) for encouraging me and providing me endless supports all these while.

I've finally worked out the details and came up with a formula to make this pair of earrings. With the technique introduced, you may apply your own preference in creating your very own Passiflora Studs. The above picture itself is already showing two variations, you may try to spot the difference!

P/S The tutorial is under construction at the moment, I will announce it when it's passes it's Quality Assurance process and ready to be published.

Please check back for updates.
