Oh my…

Dear everyone, please meet Huan Pham.
I was reading through the mails from WWJ Yahoo Group, read Anne’s E-mail, and then saw these wonderful, wonderful designs. (Thanks Anne!!!)
Believe it or not, ever since the unpleasant experiences I’ve had last year and early this year, I have developed a hand full of side-effects, one of them was – I can never able to look at a piece of beautiful/amazing jewelry art for too long. I would as if hear *those people* says:”what are you trying to do? Are you trying to steal???!!!”. LOL. So yeah, I’d close the browser and forget about what I’ve just saw and fortunately, I always have the ability forgetting what I want to forget (and frankly speaking this ability helps heap in terms of enabling me to do things differently every single time).
Just imagine me having to read back my own tutorial(s) in order to compose something I’ve composed/taught before. I forget, as soon as I wrote a tutorial, and then the learning –> developing –> teaching cycle restarts again. :)
So same thing happened when Huan Pham’s site loaded. My reaction was close the browser right away as though I’ve seen something horrible! But it’s too late – there ARE things in life that I won’t want to let go, like Huan Pham’s creations. I’ve already seen it, and I like it, and I do not want to forget about it. So I wrote Huan Pham a letter. I told him how I’ve found him, and I told him that I am blown away. Huan Pham wrote back the next day, telling me that he knew me (he knew me??? he knew me!!! Hear that, hear that!!!) via an Aussie Beading Forum, and he wouldn’t mind it at all if I were to write about him in my blog.
Right. Now here’s my confession.
I never able to spend too much time in a forum, be it my favorite Starving Artists Forum (I met most of my jewelry mates from this amazing forum, thanks to JenK! :) ) or this Aussie beading forum… I wished to have more than 24 hours a day, really, so that I could mingle around… but too bad, my dear readers. I would only try to keep in touch with people only when they go disappear for too long (you know who you are, i miss you.), and I start studying my fans only when I want to plan an event for the fan-club.
I am such an effortless @ss. But I hope you’d still love me.
Back to Huan Pham.
Observe the dragon he’d made. Amazing, ain't it? :) The nicest part of it is - I think I might be able to create a similar effect with knotting. Now you see why am I into knotting this much. Different gauge of wires, different directions of tying the knots and different color of the wires would fetch such a great different – and you will never know what will you be having in the end. I am very, very grateful to have meet Huan Pham, and I would like you to meet him too.
Big hugs to all of you, wish you have a happy weekend. :)
xoxo,
Corra

The Details

Most of my designs/creations were really tiny – and yet I stress a lot on my creation’s “details”. I am not sure if you are able to tell the difference between these photos and what have been photographed before – I know I am very, very happy now with these pictures because, I, finally, am able to present you what valued most for my designs and creations - the “details”.

Lots of Love, Pendant.

IMG_1013IMG_1017IMG_1002Combining two different knots – the three wires at it’s center are wrapped with knotting introduced in FriendshipBand Bracelet tutorial, and and I wrapped two wires in group with knotting that I’ve newly tested out.

Let alone those knottings, this is quite a cute pendant isn’t it? :)

Thanks for looking, and wish you have a pleasant week ahead!

It’s weekend again

IMG_0365

Mom is sick, I’ve been with her in the hospital to keep her company for the passed few days. Her fever keep coming back with reason unknown. Poor her, shivering so badly when the fever hits her. They suspect it’s dengue, but the blood count said no, it could be something else, they said, it could be the newer generation of dengue, and now we are still waiting for the test result.

I left my earphone at home on purpose so I that won’t want any music, and since there’s no wifi around me hence I wasn’t connected to the internet, I can’t do anything but talk to my Mom when she’s not too tired, and I read when Mom goes to sleep…

Then I realize how much do I miss reading. :)

Anyway, It’s weekend tomorrow again – DH will wake me up with his home-made latte! ^^

Happy weekend all, and stay healthy!

Square Post Earrings/Studs

IMG_0988 IMG_0976 IMG_0977 IMG_0980

Bad weather over here and people fall sick for unknown reasons, I figure that nursing someone that’s sick is more tiring than falling sick myself, and heck, my throat is burning now. :(

Made this pair of earrings last night with a knotting that I haven’t tried before, it turned out pretty well, and I do hope you like it.

3cm tall, and 2cm at it’s widest measures.

    Back in action!!!

Hello, I am finally back from the South!!! I had so much fun in Singapore, great, great weather (I always thought SG is warmer than KL!), had too many good food, bought too many pretty stuff and most importantly, had too many good coffee!! OMG they have good coffee!!

    Jones the Grocer

    IMG_0742

IMG_0725 I love Jones the Grocer though they can’t make good bacon, but their coffee were great that’s all matters.

    Bukonero

bukonero Someone cancelled their booking at Bukonero, so we get to go in there for dinner! Just a gentle head up for your if you are dining in - Photography is strictly prohibited in there though I don’t understand why, what’s the big deal really? Shouldn’t they be honored because someone is going to do a free advertising for them? :D Anyway I took this picture using my mobile phone and then I got warned by the restaurant owner. :(

    Saddle club

    IMG_0387

IMG_0390Saddle club for breaky – Someone recommended that place, the ambience and the greeneries were great, but IMHO you could skip this and save your stomach for something else – they served cold latte, watered down Americano and poor hot chocolate – big, big disappointment!

    Valentino

IMG_0435Valentino – very nice pasta and Risotto! Coffee not as great so you could make it a pass if you have daily coffee quota… (More pictures next time around, stay tuned! :D)

    Highlander Coffee

IMG_0520 It’s a pity that I didn’t get to find out more coffee available in Singapore, but this is the greatest so far I’ve had in the SG land. :)

    WigJig

    wigjig

And I even found Wigjig Centaur (recommended by Ms. Perri) there. Apparently it’s cheaper for us Malaysian to get it from Singapore as compared to getting it shipped from the States. It’s USD$46 (shipping not included) from Wigjig’s website, I got it for SG$68 from Beads Etc. Not cheap at all, I do hope its a right decision to have bought it! :D

    drivinghome2Driving home… :D

It’s such a great long break to me and I am all ready to create new stuff soon. Check back often for updates! :)

    Happy weekend!

    Random Updates

I’ve been missed! LOL!! Thank you for writing to me (you know who you are!!!), I am doing just fine – been visiting and being visited, spending ALOT of time with family and friends, and thought I’d just quickly post some photos just to keep you updated with what I’ve been up to!

IMG_9885New bag by SHINZABURO from sister in law – my current favorite!!

    IMG_9905

MIL’s handmade’s deco – she is the master of all these, I shall take more photos of her pretties soon!

IMG_9639One of the reunion dinner – The dish in the center is called “Lou Sang”, we are supposed to mix and mess the dish up and yell out loud of the best wishes while we do that! :D

    IMG_0032

    Flower tea – After dinner

IMG_9922 And we have been on wines and cheese EVERY NIGHT for the passed one week.

It’s such a good catch up that we decided that we should extend the CNY visiting to another country for this coming week – so yes, I will be out from my country for the next couple of days, but we are going to stay in and will still be connected to the internet - so your purchase will still be attended. :P

Please drop a comment to win an Ang Pao if you not already have – the contest will be officially closed on the 15th day of Chinese New Year, which is on the 9th February 2009. Good Luck and I will back in action soon!

    Many hugs,

    -Me-
