Mary: Wow, that's a tough one... I like the "V" a lot, but there's a lot to be said for the "U". If I were shopping, I'd probably go for the "V". Hope that helps - there both incredible!

WW: Hi, Corra, This is a really pretty design and IMHO well worth pursuing. Because you asked, here is my own 2-5 cents worth. I, too, am drawn to the "V" shape in version 2 which echoes the "V" shape on the bottom. Further, by adding yet another "V"-like shape at the top of the piece and integrating this into a bail connection of some variety would complete the design. You would then have the magic odd number of shapes (V-shapes x 3) repeated in the design and the eye would then flow from the "v"s of the bottom, back up to the pretty pearl surrounded by the "v" shape at the top and therefore, keeping the eye traveling throughout the design.
In addition, the weave on v#3 on the upper sides adds another layer of texture while contrasting with the "tangled?" weave on the bottom (I cannot quite tell which weave from the photos). Some would say, however, that keeping the same weave throughout the design encourages continuity. Personal taste here.
One question: was the stability factor that you mentioned with v#1 solved in the later versions? Anyway, this is a really pretty piece and I am looking forward to the finished product. Thank you for sharing and thank you for the opportunity to share in your design process.

Gwynettekea: I had a hard time. My computer wouldn't let me see the 4th one enlarged and only held of the 3rd one.
I was drawn to the one with the V and with the extra detail up the side. I liked the U also but lean a little more to the v and how its followed through in the technique.

Made these just in time before she leave. The owner’s born in January, that’s why its Garnet.
She asked why were those spaces uneven? I told her that’s because she started to examine my creations like an artist – instead of someone who’d wore jewelry as jewelry. The difference between the two was – artist obverse details and recognizes flaw(s), the latter see jewelry as a whole and often won’t realize it’s imperfection(s). :P
Sounds cunning didn’t I? LOL. I am not 100% lying and you knew it.
And last but not least, I told her not to worry about the uneven spaces, they all will adjust themselves to sit at the right places after awhile!!!

WOHOOO!!! NEW KNOTTED PIECE, NEW DESIGN!!!
I say thank you many many times each time I translated a new knot into wired form, I am grateful for able to see new possibilities and I say thank you to my wires for letting me to torture them (and close to abusing them) and put them into great risk of breaking them all the time, thank you, my wires, for surviving and made it to the end of the making process.
It had been a long while since I created something colorful – and here it is! The new Jiasha Earrings, green and purple Swarovski Crystal Pearl-beads in the house, along with genuine Garnet bead as well as round Rock Crystal! So I have Green, Purple and Red altogether (clear Rock Crystal cannot have color can it? :P)
I love this pair of earrings very much. But I forgot to take it’s measurement as of now. My guess is – about 2cm diameter. Will get the actual measurement later and will update this post accordingly.

Tada – a sneak peak of the Xie-Brios tutorial!
So you wonder what’s so special about this knot? Well unlike the usual way which we will thread the wires through the drilled-hole and then coil on to to decorate it for a bit, the set of coils were created prior the knot is form, and as you pull the wire-tails outwards, the coil-sets will go inwards, getting closer with each other. The tutorial also include a set of instruction on how to get the measurement right.
I will try this for a round bead next time around. :)

Inspired by Stephenie Mayer’s abandoned project – “Midnight Sun”.
Extension from Snowflake Earrings, I merged it with Don Wright’s 12 point stars knotting (well, not quite, I modified it a little after all, but the basic was there) from Vince’s website (Thanks!). So if you have Snowflakes Earrings tutorial – go ahead and try this out!
I am a big fan of Twilight Saga, I read the books for more than 4 times in a month (I didn’t create anything the whole June 2009, remember?), and I watched the movie for more than 10 times, observing each and every pretty boy at a time in the show – I find Jasper is extremely hot, and have you ever realized he stares at Bella just as much as Edward Cullen? Heh!
I sincerely hope that Steph’d complete writing “Midnight Sun” one day, and soon. :) After all I love Edward Cullen the most!
