Inspiration: Filingee Rose Quartz Pendant

Have not been creating for awhile, but don't worry, this is a planned break, I shall be back in no time. While I am taking a break, I continue to hunt for inspirations, to get myself ready to create something that would impress you, my dear reader.

When I saw this pendant, the first thing that strikes my mind was - this must be a handcrafted piece of jewelry! And I was right. What surprised me was the faceted rose quartz gemstone is also handcrafted. Hmm, this is something I've never tried, and didn't think I will be able to try. But I like the sterling silver filigree petals hey. And according to the product description, this darling is 1.5 inches x 1 inch in width x .5 inches depth (38mm long x 25mm wide x 6mm), pretty decent for a normal wear I thought.

Retail price at $98, and now it's on sale, $68.60 anyone?

Hmm decision decision. :)

Luxurious Wedding Jewelry this is!
Finalized piece. All metal are sterling silver. Adorned with Swarovski Crystal Pearls and Diamond cut’s Cubic Zirconia beads.

Jewelry Details/Measurement:
4cm tall, 3.5cm wide.
5.4gram each, i.e. 10.9gram total.

Took me whole week to construct this pair – don’t get me wrong, it’s not that complicated to make, just that I’ve got backache attack when I was constructing this, had no choice but take my time to construct this slowly. So as compared to the prototype piece, I’ve added tiny tiny diamond donuts right above the 8mm Swarovski Crystal Pearls, and took care of the side’s finishing.
I am meeting the bride soon before her wedding, and I plan to deliver this to her by hand. I am not sure about you, but I like having personal touch with my clients – if both parties can help it. I would try to meet them up at least once if possible though I can go through the design phases with them online, via E-mails, Skype, or any other instant messaging systems, but most of the time clients would want to meet up for delivery, for which I am glad.
So…
That’s it. I am done with this piece, though I have a tutorial to write for this design, but that will only happen after I finalize my next commissioned piece.
