Handmade Silver Rose Studs Post Earrings - Commissioned by Myra

Myra just drove to where I live to pick up this pair of earrings (Thanks dear! Sorry I didn't come out to greet you, it's my little one's nap time, thanks for understanding!)

It's a mixed feeling to part with what I have made, but to go further one must think farther, I have been visioning myself bumping into someone who'd wearing my creations, I trust that day will come. :)

Like I've said, no one pair of Handmade Silver ROSE Studs Post Earrings are the same, this pair, is different from Jeci's, though the difference are not significant from it's appearance, it is to me, each weave and each wires ties are very different, another crafter might be able to spot it, not regular wearer. Hehe.

Handmade Silver Rose Studs Post Earrings - Commissioned by Jeci

Ms. Jeci contacted me in March to place order, she was going to give birth to a April baby! I thought it's very thoughtful of her to have the Mother's Day gift planned out before the arrival of her baby, she even planned how the earrings should be delivered so she can gift this to the receiver in time. :)

Wired Chinese Knot – Silver ROSE Studs and Pendant

This set of jewelry are result of combination of Wired Chinese Knotting with Wire Weaving. :)

Wired Chinese Knot ROSE Studs:

The ROSE focal is made up with two Wired Chinese Knotting, and the base is composed with basic Wire Weaving technique. 

Wired Chinese Knot ROSE Pendant:

A slight twist from the ROSE studs in becoming a ROSE pendant, that I won’t lie. Hehe. When the order came in the reference item used was CZ ROSE Pendant Build 7.0 finalized in April 28, 2009. Client said the owner didn’t like the coils, and would like it to changed to be the same base as stud. I said no problem, of course.

Design Background/ History:

I made the very first pair of ROSE studs in January 15, 2010, while prototyping Christine’s earrings in January 2010, finalized in February 2010, and have been receiving orders for ROSE studs since. I can’t remember how many pairs of ROSE studs I have made and sold, but as of now I am still spending 7 hours to construct a ROSE stud no less. There are too much details to take care of – the studs base’s measurement, the weaving path, setting the focal, hiding the wires tails and adjusting those petals.

Have you ever had a moment like this, that when you are focusing on making your design, you make them full-hearted and 100% of your concentration… When done, you found that you can’t take your eyes off it…
I have a dream – that one day I will create my design with precious, precious metal that shall not tarnish, that would not fade. Instead of Cubic Zirconias, it will be Diamonds, instead of Sterling Silver, it will be Platinum, or Rose Gold – to match the name “rose”.

Hmm…
Perhaps I should reposition the whole thing.
I shall set it as a “Goal”, instead of thinking it as a “dream”. :)

Total hour spent: 10 hours.

They are 7cm tall, 2cm at it’s widest measure. It had been delivered to the buyer, I hope the receiver will be pleased with it – buyer contributed in design phase. :)

Earrings is 5.3gram each, total: 10.6gram

Material: Zircon, Garnet, Swarovski Crystals.

All metal are sterling silver 92.5.

This is a commissioned piece. Totally handmade including the ear wires. These pretties had just been delivered to the buyer – a birthday gift from her to her sister, her birth stone is Garnet. :)

All metal are non-tarnish brass.

PIPA Series - Ornate Pendant, Wired Chinese Knot, The Love Knot, No soldering (SOLD)

Description
I thought I would create a pair of earrings - but soon I realized I could not re-create an identical side for this, hence it is a pendant now.

Techniques implemented:

• PIPA Knotting
• Skylark Knotting
  

Materials - Different gauges of Stainless Steel Wires, hence it will not tarnish. Fresh water pearls were in used, and tiny copper beads are surrounding a 4mm sparkling silver color copper bead at PIPA's central. I attached clear Swarovski Crystals by implementing Skylark Knotting for the outest layer of this PIPA pendant.

This piece is 4.5cm tall from the hoop, 3.3cm at it's widest measure, weigh 3.5gram.

This piece was created base on the PIPA Earrings technique. Those who already have the tutorial can try to make your own post earrings, the nature of PIPA knotting enable you to create this piece with extra minimal effort.

These earrings are created with two different gauges of Stainless Steel Wires, hence it will not tarnish under normal wear. Lots of tiny white freshwater pearls has been added, and below the focal it hang a Freshwater-Pearls-Ball with a Purple CatEyes. The white freshwater pearls at the center is surrounded by lots of tiny metal beads. All arranged layer by layer. Very time consuming piece, and lots of patient and passion have been invested.

This pendant is approximately 4.0cm tall and 2cm at its widest measure, its simple and clean design suitable for anytime wear.

The Love Knot - Wired Chinese Knot , Skylark on Coins (SOLD)

New techniques, everyone. :)

This piece of art was created using 2 Chinese Knots that I have recently turned into wired forms.

It is created with two colors and gauges of copper wires, attaching 2mm Swarovski Crystal. Focal featuring 6mm Cubic Zirconia ball that has 6 Cubic Zirconias attached on it.

Extremely unique piece of pendant, and lots of patient and passion have been invested.

This pendant is 3.5cm tall and 3cm at its widest measure, and it comes together with a 18 inch white-gold plated chain, everything (including the white-gold plated chain) weigh 5.8gram, extremely light weight piece of art.

The last picture is for you to get some idea of its actual size.

The Love Knot - PIPA Pendant in Purple Cat Eyes, Wired Chinese Knot (SOLD)

It is created with two colors and gauges of copper wires, attaching 10 pcs of 4mm round Purple colors Cat-Eyes. The technique used for the behind of this pendant was based on wire-woven method. I attached tiny metal beads to create extra sparkling effect.

To finish, I added another white freshwater pearls at its center and let it surrounded by lots of tiny metal beads. All arranged layer by layer. Very time consuming piece, and lots of patient and passion have been invested.

This pendant is 3cm tall and 2cm at its widest measure, weighing 3.5g, extremely light weight and suitable for anytime wear.

Friendly Notes:
Those who had the PIPA Earrings tutorial may give it a try, the most challenging task to create this piece will be working out on it's back.

I made some modification on the technique to create this piece. It is created with two colors and gauges of copper wires, attaching lots of tiny silver colors freshwater pearls. I added another silver colors freshwater pearls at the center and let it surrounded by lots of tiny metal beads. All arranged layer by layer. Very time consuming piece, and lots of patient and passion have been invested.

This pendant is 2.7cm tall and 2cm at its widest measure, weighing 3.2g, extremely light weight and suitable for anytime wear. Hope you like it. :)
